OUR COMPANY COULD BE THE ONLY CALL CENTER COMPANY IN THE PHILIPPINES NOT ALLOWING AGENTS TO BRING WATER ON THE PRODUCTION FLOOR. INHUMANITY IN ITS FINEST.
Let’s see how important water is.

When we were still newborn infants, as much as 75-percent of our body weight is composed of water. Newborns need water as much as adults do. Millions of cells die each day in our bodies, and millions more are born to replace the dead ones each day. This is true to all living creatures, including newborns. In order for these dead cells to be flushed out of our bodies, adequate water is needed.
When we were in grade school, our teachers and mentors would usually remind us to drink 8-10 glasses of water everyday to help us replenish lost fluids since it is during this period where our energy is at its peak and activities are sometimes uncontrolled. Failure to replenish and maintain water balance could result to dehydration that is potentially dangerous to our kidneys.
When we were in high school, we have learned that water is a universal solvent and a versatile compound consisting of 2 atoms of Hydrogen and 1 atom of Oxygen. This is because many substances dissolves in it. All chemical reactions in plants and animals that support life (and that include humans) take place in a water medium.
When we were in the College of Nursing, we have learned that on the conceptual pyramid of Abraham Harold Maslow, the first level in the Heirarchy of Needs are the PHYSIOLOGIC NEEDS which include by first- oxygen, second- WATER, third- food. In unusual situation, say, a disaster or calamity, a person can survive without food for more than a week depending on your body weight. This is because human body can convert proteins and fats so they can be used as sources of energy. But without water, a person will not last more than 3-5 days.
LET’S FACE IT: WATER IS ESSENTIAL
Why you need water in your daily life?
- The human blood, which contains a lot of water, carriers oxygen to all cells of our bodies. Without oxygen, our cells would die and normal body function is altered. Imagine your brain without oxygen – Well, I can see my teacher pass out while having her class.
- If you do not drink enough water, many people will incur excess body fat, poor muscle tone, joint and muscle soreness and water retention. If we do not drink enough water, our body will compensate by retaining excess water of the body thus retention occurs. Uh-oh, I bet Manny Pacquiao doesn’t like that. And before I forget, water is the main ingredient of perspiration, also called sweat – We’re talking about Philippine Azkals here.
- Water is also found in lymph, a fluid that is part of our immune system, which helps fight off illness. Having a job as stressful as of those who are working in call centers, would really require properly functioning immune system in order to survive the freezing nocturnal life. Right? Yeah, exactly.
